Paper Patchwork Box

Hello fellow bloggers
I've just completed another storage box
for my craft room

This is just a simple wooden box
which I've painted white
I decided to decorate the top
with pretty papers
arranged in a patchwork
of squares
and finished with a lace border
It makes great craft storage
with plenty of room for lots of
my supplies
Hope you've had a lovely week-end
Good night

Upcycled Vintage Sewing Machine Drawer

With the beginning of a new week
I'm continuing my show and tell
of items I've been decorating
for my craft room makeover

I found two of these vintage
sewing machine drawers
in my collection of
things to upcycle

This one though will go
in our spare room
or guest room

I painted both the drawers white
but added pretty papers
to this one
to match the decor of the room

Just added some vintage
sheet music to the inside
Not sure what I'll put in it
But could be handy
for guests to put keys or phones
 in while staying

The other drawer, I've just
left plain white and will
use it for storing craft pens
pencils, scissors, glue etc.
Will have more photos
coming soon

Hope you're all having a
wonderful week

Craft Room Makeover

Well hello fellow bloggers
It's been a while
Sometimes a break from creating
and blogging is just the thing that is needed
and in my case that's just what I've been doing.
*****
This has all culminated in my craft room makeover
So with this in mind I thought it's about
time for a show and tell
especially now that the end of another year is approaching
oh dear! Where has it gone this time!
Every year seems to go faster!
*****
The warm spring weather, or should
I say early hot summer, we've been
experienceing in our part of the world
has been ideal for
being outdoors painting things white

These vintage sewing machine drawers
have come up a treat and are great for storage
This is a set of two drawers which
I've painted white and just added
pretty papers to the fronts of the drawers
as well as the insides
Looking forward to catching up
with all my blog friends
have a great week!

gone by and we're up to the week-end
once again
Our weather forecaster is predicting
warm to hot weather for the week-end
So DH & I are hoping for a warm evening
so we can enjoy dinner out
at our favourite restaurant

with this beautiful view
celebrating our 34th
wedding anniversary

Wishing you many happy times
this week-end!

SHABBY PARIS JOURNALS & GIFT TAGS

I've been enjoying making
these sweet shabby little journals

 I've covered the journals
with papers on both front and
back as well as the inside covers
Vintage Paris fabric images
and embellishments
highlight the collage
and hand stamped Paris seam binding
ribbon completes them
***
A set of four large gift tags

Just love this vintage image
on these tags
I decided to add pin-up brads at
the top of each for something
a bit different, to which a
length of seam binding
ribbon is added for hanging
or attaching to a gift
would also be a beautiful
     scrap booking embellishment

These are all available now
in my Etsy store
just click on the button in my
side bar to hop on over
and take a look

Have a wonderful week

Some Gandhi Inspiration For You Today!

Today I thought I'd share a little inspiration with you. Something we all need from time to time.

Franscesca, a gifted graphic designer, has taken Gandhi's Top 10 Fundamentals for Changing the World and created gorgeous, inspirational art.

The best part? Francesca has made her poster available for download as a high-quality 11"x17" print, and it's absolutely free. You can get it here.

i’ve been thinking of doing this for a while now. after i saw this floating around, i wanted to make my own version to hang on my wall. and knowing me, well, i had to make it all ~shnazzy~ so i made this 11x17 poster. i made it so you can download yourself one too, if you like. it’s a nice PDF file so you can take that to Kinko’s and blow it up and hang it nicely in your room or whateva.

It's a beautiful summers day here today and I'm enjoying creating some new projects for my shop.

Will be back soon for show and tell!

Hope your week is wonderful!

Shabby Paris Pouches

Hi everyone and a Happy New Year!
Well after a sad end to 2012
it's time for a fresh start
and new creations
It's been great therapy
being absorbed once again
creating new things
and I know that's just what
Mum would have wanted me to be doing
After all, I got much of my creative
talent and inspiration from her
So I'll just show you a little of what
I've been up to lately
I've made a small collection of
Paris shabby bags

These are all available
to purchase from my Etsy Store
Wishing you a wonderful week
