Another Little Shabby Fabric Collage Bag "Kindness"

Have just completed another

of my fabric collage bags

seem to be making lots of these

lately, just love the way

you can begin with a simple

idea of a bag or tote

and use vintage images

laces, old buttons and doileys

and create a beautiful result

that takes you back to another time

The theme of this bag is
"Kindness"
We can all use a little kindness in
our lives, and if we give out
lots of kindness we can always
see it coming back to us
even in small ways
I've used the same Graphics Fairy

image again, I know, but I do love this one

so couldn't help making just one more 

bag with it on, so it will probably be

the last of this image for a while

Fabric Collage Tote, Teacup Pincushion

I've just finished a small collection of items

The first is this fabric collage tote

I've used an image from 

the Graphics Fairy

and built up textures with fabrics and vintage doiley

then hand stitched with pearls

seed beads, mother of pearl buttons, charms, 

seam binding ribbon

collection of pincushions

one in a vintage teacup

the other two in vintage

glass dishes

they all come with a complementary

they were such fun to make

New Handmade Bag

This week I've been busy making this bag.

It's a bag designed by

Monica Poole

I really enjoyed spending the day 

at the sewing machine

something I haven't had time to do

for quite a while

I'll be keeping this one for me

As I really needed  

something like this

for the autumn winter months

My Latest Creation

This is one of my new bags I'm making. I couldn't show you before as I made this one for my daughter's birthday and had to wait until she'd opened her parcel first, before I showed it on my blog.

 It's a small bag with a shoulder strap and pocket inside.

It's just big enough to hold your phone, keys, cards and some cash and maybe a few other small items.

I was really pleased with the way it turned out.

I've more of these in the pipeline and they should be available by mid-November.

I'm taking a break from my Etsy and blogging for a while, but will be back soon with new projects and ideas to share.
