Lots of Tote Bags!!

Just wanted to show you these couple of fabric collage tote bags I've just completed. The first one is based on a sweet little dress and heart pin, two of the projects featured in Nancy's Heartstrings class. The bag is fully lined with double pockets, and is available for sale in my ebay, just click on the photo to take a closer look or go to my ebay link

The second bag has more of a french flavour to it as I've used a french graphic image and overlayed this onto some ticking then added vintage laces and embellishments all hand stitched on. This bag is also fully lined with double pockets.

Heartstrings Project

Another rainy day here, it has been bucketing down all day, so perfect for starting a new project. As I've joined Nancy's Heartstrings online class I've plenty of projects to choose from, I think there are six projects all up. This project is a little dress on a hanger, but as I'm still waiting for my little hangers to arrive, I decided instead to attach the dress to a vintage napkin and then attach this to a tote bag. 

As the dress is supposed to be hung from a mini coathanger I decided to stitch mine on instead.

This is what I've done so far.

The dress is cut from a remnant of a damask vintage table napkin.

The laces are pieces of coffee dyed vintage hankies.

I've added seed beads, pearls, old chippy mop buttons and a sash of aged seam binding ribbon at the waist.

I still have to stitch around the edge of the napkin and I think I'll attach a little heart pin (another of the class projects) to the top of the bag. 

Will keep you posted with pics of the finished result.

Vintage Cigar Box

Hi there blogging friends. I'm excited to share with you my newest creation. I've given this old cigar box a makeover with fabric collage and vintage image from Ana . I've used a vintage damask table napkin for the base and then overlayed with vintage hankies, lace etc. Then pearls, charms, mop buttons, seed beads were all hand stitched on. Just loved making this one and the way it turned out.

Another Diary for Ebay

I've just completed my second diary, I'll only be making the two, as it's almost end of January already, can you believe it!! Hope you like this one, I've added more lovely images from Paper Whimsy and this time, a piece of vintage doiley and some coffee dyed lace were added under the paper images, and then all the usual embellishments. This one is in my ebay for sale right now.
