Vintage Linens for Ebay

I've just listed a batch of vintage linens on ebay

Am still going with the "less is more" theory

and finding more things to say "farewell" to

from my ever expanding collection

Hopefully these lovely linens

can be of use to someone else

Am hoping at the end of

my de-cluttering phase

to feel cleansed and refreshed

without the least desire

to go out looking to replace

that which I've just gotten

rid of

Am feeling positive about this

right now

But will I feel the same next week?

New Handmade Bag

This week I've been busy making this bag.

It's a bag designed by

Monica Poole

I really enjoyed spending the day 

at the sewing machine

something I haven't had time to do

for quite a while

I'll be keeping this one for me

As I really needed  

something like this

for the autumn winter months

Busy De Cluttering for Ebay

Have been busy this week

decided to part with some items

that I think I can live without

and offer them for sale

on my Ebay

Sometimes less is more

isn't it?

I painted this country key cupboard

some years ago now

even though it's always been a favourite 

I've decided it can go to a new home

and I can have a change of decor

 I also purchased these vintage tables

a short while ago

which I re-furbished with

a shabby makeover

but have now decided

I really don't have enough room for them

even though I really like them

especially the way the legs curve

so they're on ebay for sale

now also

 I have some vintage linens

a couple of table cloths also

like this lovely

embroidered one

in lovely soft

colours

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!

Today is my Mums Birthday

she is 86 today

we celebrated with lunch at our house

my Sister came also

we shared lots of good food, wine

lots of chatter

and of course cake

lots of cake

Also many cups of tea

She was also

delighted at opening the

gifts we'd given her

The weather was perfect

crisp autumn morning

turning into a beautiful

warm summer afternoon

After such a lovely day

I can be so grateful

of many things about Mum

that she is still with us

as I know many out there

aren't so fortunate

Mum at 86

still has a very sharp mind

is also quite agile

still very creative

always so interested

in anything she can get her

hands on

whether it be

crochet, knitting, embroidery,

patchwork etc.,

and last but not least 

she is a wonderful friend

I'm sure it's her lifetime

passion for being creative

that has helped both to exercise

and keep

her mind so sharp

as she ages

Life just wouldn't be the same without her

and are fortunate enough

to have a 

beautiful Mum

to share your life with
