My Decorated "Busy-Bee" boxes are ready to purchase!!
I've just completed these 2 decorated boxes, which I've decided to call my "Busy-Bee" boxes. I'm giving you the opportunity to purchase them from me right here from my blog, before I send them to my ebay.
You can just click on any of the photos if you'd like a larger view.
I've created these sweet little boxes for a busy needleworker or craftsperson.
I think they'd be very useful for storing all types of craft items such as buttons, threads, beads and a variety of crafting notions, not to mention bear making supplies!!
They would make a beautiful display in your studio/craftroom and great to take supplies along to class in.
The first one is in pink & green shabby colours. I've covered the box in a green stripe cotton print.
I've added a vintage image using a decoupage technique, so as to protect it, and then embelished around it with ric-rac, handmade suffolk puffs and buttons. All the embelishments have been hot glued on for extra strength.
This box is 5 3/4 inches square by 3 1/2 inches high.
~~~~~~~~~
The second box has a more vintage look about it.
The image has again been added with the decoupage technique for protection.
The box has been covered in a pretty cream mauve and green cotton print with letters on it. I've added some vintage lace to give an aged look. It has the same handmade suffolk puffs with extra buttons added randomly over the lid and some pink ribbon.
This one measures 5 3/4 inches by 4inches by 2 3/4 inches high.
The images I've used to create these boxes are from Julie at
Thanks so much Julie for sharing your beautiful images.
If you would like to purchase one of these boxes they are selling for $25 plus postage right now on my Ebay. Just click on the My Ebay Link on my home page to take you right there.
Please email me at robyn238@gmail.com, or just leave a comment if you have any further questions.
These items have now been sold, thankyou!
Happy Mothers' Day
Tomorrow is Mothers' Day and I'm looking forward to another happy day with my Mum and sister. We're getting together for a nice lunch and if the weather is anything like it was today it should be wonderful! Will miss my daughter who is at present in the U.K., but thanks to modern technology, internet and phone, she never seems too far away.
So happy Mothers' Day to all mums, hope your day is special.
This sweet image is from Renae over at http://mylittleraggedyblessings.blogspot.com/
Also the bowling bag has now been sold thankyou.
I've been working on a few different projects this week. I always like to have a go at different things. I'm making some small covered boxes, suitable for treasures or storing sewing needs, buttons, bear making supplies etc. Will have a couple for sale here on my blog this coming week and some more painted pieces coming soon.
Have a great week-end!!
Good Health and Happiness!!
Happiness came my way yesterday as I celebrated another birthday.
I Was thoroughly spoilt by my family.
There was lots of cake and tea and a beautiful lunch which I didn't have to cook.
Much chatter and laughter and phone calls from far away, just to make my day.
At the end of the day I felt so grateful to have, not only such a wonderful family, but also the good health to be able to enjoy these simple pleasures in life.
Here's to good health and happiness for us all!!
