Have spent most of today making my Christmas Puddings in between setting up this blog. I really enjoy being in the kitchen this time of year and by the end of the day the house is filled with the beautiful aroma of the puddings. This is the first year in ages I've finished my Christmas shopping early and now have time for baking. So have my Christmas cake to bake next. I want to have everything ready for Christmas early this year as our daughter is coming home to visit from London - very exciting!! Thus I haven't done so much painting as I usually do this time of year, have taken a small break to prepare for Christmas. In my spare time though I will be making up some new patterns. One of these will be the design that is on the brown diary, so watch for this one next.
Well I've just completed these 3 diaries and put them in my ebay store last night. I was really pleased with the way they turned out. The 2 small ones have already sold and only the brown diary with the teddy sitting on the case is left.
I wont be doing any more diaries this year, so please be quick for this one!
This year I've finally began a long awaited desire toput some of my designs into patterns.
My first one is Christmas Teddy Bears on a box, in which you could store decorations, chocolates, sweets, etc. I have it for sale in my ebay store at present. I've tried to put as much information in it as I can, describing how to paint teddy fur my way. Even though it is a Christmas pattern it is a good introduction to the painting of fur bears, especially if you aren't an experienced painter.
Hi this is my first post on this blog. Am rather new to blogging so hope I can make this one interesting to those of you who, like me have an interest in collecting teddy bears as well as painting mohair bears. Yes I love to paint mohair bears and have been doing so now for many years. I really enjoy seeing the finished result and the different personality that is created with each new bear I paint.
I mostly like to create my own designs, although sometimes I will enjoy painting the designs of another artist.
I also occasionally love to paint shabby roses and some of the country & primitive decorative painting styles.
I hope you'll stop by from time to time to catch up with my "adventures in decorative painting"!
