Another Little Shabby Fabric Collage Bag "Kindness"

Have just completed another

of my fabric collage bags

seem to be making lots of these

lately, just love the way

you can begin with a simple

idea of a bag or tote

and use vintage images

laces, old buttons and doileys

and create a beautiful result

that takes you back to another time

The theme of this bag is
"Kindness"
We can all use a little kindness in
our lives, and if we give out
lots of kindness we can always
see it coming back to us
even in small ways
I've used the same Graphics Fairy

image again, I know, but I do love this one

so couldn't help making just one more 

bag with it on, so it will probably be

the last of this image for a while

More Vintage Linens!

Well winter has certainly arrived

in my part of the world

We've had severe storms

and strong winds

the last 2 days

I've had a comforting

pot of soup simmering

on the stove this afternoon

so while this was bubbling

away I've been sorting through

more of my vintage linens supply

that I'm slowly clearing out

yes I'm still thinking

the less is more idea is working well

So, am parting with a lovely set of 7

centrepiece doileys

and a crisp white set of 

table napkins

Shabby French Gift Tags

I've just completed 

two sets of gift tags/cards

They each have a french theme

"Le Corset"

The images are vintage corsets

with french graphics & roses

in lovely pinks & greens

they are mounted onto

heavy cardstock

together with patterned papers

the edges of the image have been

distressed and embellishments

and sparkles added

Hi everyone hope you're all

having a good week

Have just finished 3 more pincushions

Have been a little addicted to them

lately, I tried a new patchwork one

in pinks and greens

it was fun to make

and I was pleased with the result

But I think my favorites

are the vintage style ones

in the dishes

I like the old vintage look of the

glassware combined with the vintage

laces, charms, beads and motifs

which makes them more

suited to a variety of uses

as either a pincushion, or

hatpin or brooch holder
